This was my Xmas goal: to build a collage out of nothing but fractals, and here it is. My biggest project to date, only contested by the tattoo collage. This one forced me to use a wide variaty of fractals that I hadn't utilized before, from making the sands, to the jellyfish, to the sub. The render time alone was incredible. All hail Apophysis!

Image finally up for print.

Image dedicated to a friend from the 322RAF 2nd TAF, who spent Xmas and New Years in the hospital.

That's awesome. I love the little fishies at the bottom right. hehe Nice job! :+fav:

I'm really blown away by this. Not only are all the elements completely well designed, but it must have taken hours to create each element and piece them together in such a manner as this. There are so many incredible things to look at in this masterpiece.

My favorite parts are the sub and the little fish hiding in the coral reef, but it all rocks!

Very nice.

That was the slowest 2.3 MB my computer's downloaded in months, but it was well worth it. =)

AMAZING WORK! Wow, I would definitely say that you achieved your goal :D The way you formed them into undersea animals is brilliant!
:iconvetsac:
Ok... first off, lemme say that devArt's servers kind of suck sometimes! I had a nice long appreciative comment for you on this brilliant piece of work, I clicked "Submit" and devArt choked right at that very moment in time, became unresponsive, and my comments were lost to oblivion... :shakefist:

Anyway -- as I was saying... :jawdrop: this is an awesome piece of work! The colors and details are so crystal clear and defined! Very nice stuff. But even moreso, I like the idea just as well -- making a collage out of recognizable objects and things out of nothing but fractals! (Usually the fractals I've ever seen are a bunch of nice, cool-looking squiggly lines. But you have some actual things here represented... a nice touch)

I'd love to see the details in the full original 6000x9000 piece  And 45 hours of work? :faint:

Again, pretty damn cool. :woot: :woot:

Im very envious of this peice and my goal is the same. I could heap a large amount of praise for a much needed skilled peice. Its one thing for me to be a button jockey clicking through the spaces of probability, but for me this becomes a vaild art form when combinations of fractals are put together into beautiful themes. I would like to add one critical comment becuase this is so close to being perfect. There any chance your would consider darking and lighting some of the peices to create more depth?
